Summary

9-Hydroxycalabaxanthone (Xanthone I) is a known xanthone isolated from Garcinia mangostana Linn. 9-Hydroxycalabaxanthone has quorum-sensing inhibitory, anti-microbial, and anti-malarial activities ( IC ₅₀ =1.2-1.5 µM) ^[1] .

In Vitro

9-Hydroxycalabaxanthone inhibits the activities of 3D7 and K1 P. falciparum clones with IC ₅₀ values of 1.5 μM and 1.2 μM, respectively ^[1] .
