Summary

Heliquinomycin is an inhibitor of DNA helicase ( K _i : 6.8 μM) and inhibits DNA and RNA synthesis. Heliquinomycin is effective against Gram-positive bacteria strains. Heliquinomycin inhibits cancer cell growth ^[1] ^[2] .

In Vitro

Heliquinomycin (18 h) shows strong inhibitory activity against Gram-positive bacteria strains with MIC values of 0.1-0.39 μM ^[1] .
Heliquinomycin inhibits the growth of HeLa S3, LI210 leukemia, IMC,carcinoma, B16 meranoma cells, with IC ₅₀ s of 0-1.6 μg/mL ^[1] .
Heliquinomycin (30 and 100 μg/mL) inhibits topoisomerase II and I enzymes activity ^[2] .
