Description

β-Sitosterol (SKF 14463, 22,23-Dihydrostigmasterol) is one of several phytosterols (plant sterols) with chemical structures similar to that of cholesterol.

In vitro

Β-Sitosterol is a plant sterol that interferes with multiple cell signaling pathways, including cell cycle, apoptosis, proliferation, survival, invasion, angiogenesis, metastasis and inflammation.
