Description
ODQ (1H-ODQ) is a potent and selective inhibitor of that enhances the pro-apoptotic effects of cisplatin in human mesothelioma cells.

In vitro
In vitro, administration of H2O2 (for 4 hrs) to rat cardiomyoblasts decreases mitochondrial respiration attributable to generation of hydroxyl radicals. Pretreatment of cells with ODQ does not abolish this cell injury. In addition, ODQ does not scavenge superoxide anions.
