Summary
Malonomicin (Antibiotic K16) is an antibiotic with anti-protozoa and anti-trypanosome activities. Malonomicin also shows anti-trypanosome activity in vivo [1] [2] .
In Vitro
Malonomicin has antiprotozoal activity towards Trypanosoma congolense [1] .

Malonomicin (30 mg/kg; i.p., once) eliminates the infection status of trypanosoma infected-mice and shows no harmful effects with daily dose of 50 mg/kg [2] .
