Summary
(±)-Vasicine is the racemate of Vasicine. Vasicine (Peganine) significantly inhibits H + -K + -ATPase activity in vitro with an IC 50 of 73.47 μg/mL. Anti-ulcer activity. Vasicine shows significant anti-secretory, antioxidant and cytoprotective effect [1] .
In Vitro
Vasicine (Peganine) exhibits strong antioxidant activity in the DPPH inhibition assay with an IC 50 value of 71.97±3.79 μg/mL [1] .
